Here I show you how I have created two pages (one with scraps of materials and pictues, the other with finishing off a painting with some water colors. Enjoy!
It has been such a while since I last uploaded something on this website. But I really like to share how I currently collect my memories. So therefore I figured to start adding to this blog and sharing with you what I do to create the memories on paper. Below you see some picture of my diary, but I fear my camera has some issues with the lighting I had on, so they are all a bit more yellow then they would be in real time.
Made this page with a picture from work, of my current working conditions. As the sunscreens have a mind of their own, I use an umbrella to shade my screens in order to see a tiny bit of what I'm doing. I do try to keep it simple. I took 10 minutes to make this page. I think that I print out about 10 pictures during the work week, so that is something like 100 minutes or somewhat more then 1.5 hours, to get these things in. Of course I also include articles and drawings of my own that might take more time.
I made a condolance card for a friend that lost a family member recenly. As I really like to create these kind of cards swiftly I use an already existing picture from a magazine over which I paint myself. You then have the ease of having already a colored background, and you just can choose how you fill up the image with your own colors and style.
Yee, they come with many and they come thick, but it is raining outside so it is a perfect day to scrapbook over here and make you tube video's in the process. Here you go, another process video to watch. And I will try to say a little bit less 'uhmmm' al the time, next time round. Dear, I really want to go to bed (it's almost 12 o'clock at night), but the uploading took so long and I don't dare to leave my laptop running during the night (it sometimes does crazy things when it is left unatended, like trying to lift of) But here you finaly have it, another Dutch style (meaning cheap --> I = honest) scrapbook layout from me. I made a new layout with scrap paper and stuff lying around. I love doing that, making something of nothing at all! I must say, if you had shown me paintings of Hundertwasser 10 years ago, I would have said that I did not like them because they are quite far from figurative paintings. But my taste has changed and now I quite like those kind of bright colors and abstract stuff. So here is a process video on 4 cards that I'm making using the ideas I got from looking at the art of Hundertwasser. A friend of mine knows somebody that is going to retire and always worked in the building you see on the right (although we have stylized it a bit). That building is in Etten-Leur, where Van Gogh and his parents have lived. The woman also loves France and will certainly go on holiday in those regions. As I'm a great fan of Van Gogh, I found it an excellent idea to help with making a painting that combines it all. In the background a painting once made by Van Gogh, and in the front right side the building where her office was. It is always funny to work on paintings together with my friend.

AuthorHi, I'm Bregtje. Here you can find me with my head between piles of paper, sticking stuff in arty albums and brushing away with paint. But I also can be found with my head in a newly home made cupboard or above the kitchen stove or even up side down in the garden! And now I'm developing a new hobby to add to my ever growing project list: blogging about it all! Please find my Garden blog, Kitchen blog, Homemaking blog and Art blog here! Archives
