When I realized I certainly could make my own cards, I made a promise to myself, always to make my own. This time I made a card for a good friend who welcomed Lisa to this world.
I love those sites with sketches that lead your way, here I used another one, this time on an enveloppe with a blue funky grid inside. On the inside of the enveloppe I created the layout below. I can't remember if I did use a layout here as well, don't think so.
Found another challenge on the scraptastic club blog today. This time all about scraplifting (had to find out what it that meant. Still don't know if you supposed to use the exact same embellishements as were used by the original creator. Can anybody tell me? I did try my best at copying her banners by making my own - and I had loads of fun doing so!). The layout is made on an old evelope. I did not have washi tape with similar arrow-thingies (that is the technical word for a non-native-English speaker for these things: >>>>>> :-)) So I cut some red and white striped washi tape in halve and used this as an edge. In the detail photos I also write some information about what you see. I keep finding great challenges when browsing on the internet. This one I found on the Scraptastic blog where I was led to by my all time favorite YouTuber when in comes to scrapbooking: Tracy (MercyTiara on youtube), she makes great layouts and has been a real inspriation for creating albums with loads of layers. I might even start to do more then sowing clothes on my sowing machine now I've seen her layouts ;-). I hope I'm still in time, when linking my results to the challengeblog. If not, well, I did have a grand time making my layout! And some detail pictures: And some close ups, happy scrapping everybody!

AuthorHi, I'm Bregtje. Here you can find me with my head between piles of paper, sticking stuff in arty albums and brushing away with paint. But I also can be found with my head in a newly home made cupboard or above the kitchen stove or even up side down in the garden! And now I'm developing a new hobby to add to my ever growing project list: blogging about it all! Please find my Garden blog, Kitchen blog, Homemaking blog and Art blog here! Archives
