I painted this little card today for a great professor, who lost his son last week. A very sad story, as he has expertise in the disease of his son. He did everything to save him, but they lost the fight. My thoughts are with them.

This story goes right to the heart's core. I feel so much for this man and for his son. Tonight I will send loving thoughts to them both. This lotus is so appropriate. In Egypt mythology Nefertum is the lotus boy, who dies each night with the fading sun and is born anew each morning in the opening lotus. When we deeply love someone those moments of love live on forever. Death cannot harm them.
