I went with my aunt on a field trip, organized by a painter and his son. We were with twenty people, packed to set out painting in plain aire. The above painting was the first that I made. My aunt and I sat on the driveway of a house, that had a lovely herb garden behind it. Its main feature was its beautiful cast iron gate, and yes even if you look carefully, you won't discover it in my painting. At the last minute I decided to leave it out, because the painting was already quite full, and it would only distract from the garden behind it. This was the first tim I tried to use a lot of reds in the green follage, I think it turned out quite good.

AuthorHi, I'm Bregtje. Here you can find me with my head between piles of paper, sticking stuff in arty albums and brushing away with paint. But I also can be found with my head in a newly home made cupboard or above the kitchen stove or even up side down in the garden! And now I'm developing a new hobby to add to my ever growing project list: blogging about it all! Please find my Garden blog, Kitchen blog, Homemaking blog and Art blog here! Archives
