Do you also find it hard to organize when you're going to plant what. Do you also discover in May that you should have sown something in March and it is far to late now to even bother. You might not have similar experiences when you have a plot not near your house and have friendly plot neighbors who will tell you what to plant and when to do so asked or unasked. But I need to have a system of my own that shall not fail me. And so I have devised a shoe box! Yes indeed a shoe box, in this box all weeks of the year are hanging like file folders neatly behind each other, with month cards every 4 or 5 weeks. In between the bags of seeds go, with neatly written on a separate paper in the front, how to sow (row spacings etc.) and where to sow (also shown in front of the shoe box, the separate squares in which the vegetables grow).
I'm pretty proud of the devised system. If it works well I'm going to sell my idea to a garden supplier like the Secrets du potager, and earn serious money :-) Comments are closed.

AuthorHi, I'm Bregtje. Here you can find me with my head up side down in the garden. But I also can be found with my head in a newly home made cupboard or above the kitchen stove or even between piles of paper, sticking stuff in arty albums and brushing away with paint! And now I'm developing a new hobby to add to my ever growing project list: blogging about it all! Please find my Garden blog, Kitchen blog, Homemaking blog and Arts blog here! Archives
