I like this vegetable, for it is so different from the rest. Only after the freeze it is ready for eating.

Although I do like autumn and all its leaves, it is quite a switch when you just had summer. We now have beautiful colours outside of reds, oranges and even purples. But the leaves are falling to the ground fast, while I didn't have time to make a long walk in the forest. It is time to get out the cocoa powder and milk!

The sunflower with the beautiful heart has given me lots of new seeds. A smaller sunflower was left, to feed hungry tomtits, everyone his fair share.
It was only after I took the picture of the heart of the sunflower that I thought; wow there is really a heart inside. How lovely nature can be.
